Great movements in the Italian cybersecurity scene. H.I.G. Europe, the European branch of the international investment fund H.I.G. Capital with over 36 billion euros of capital under management, has completed the acquisition of LumIT, which took place by its portfolio company DGS, a leading operator in the Italian Information Technology market specialized in the digital transformation of business processes and cybersecurity services.
Based on the outskirts of Milan, LumIT is a company active for over 10 years in the cybersecurity sector and is considered among the pioneers of security automation in Italy.
Protagonist of the cover story of Impresa City Magazine in September 2020, LumIT is specialized in the supply and management of technological infrastructures in the field of network security and application security and includes a primary customer base.
The transaction represents the first add-on for DGS, following the acquisition of a controlling stake by H.I.G. finalized last September, and is in continuity with the Group’s growth and development objectives. In particular, the integration of LumIT will allow DGS to strengthen its positioning in the cybersecurity sector in the territory of Northern Italy as well as to expand its product offer and partnership pool.
